Paula Michelle White is a preacher, life coach, author, motivational speaker, and. She and her husband, Randy White, divorced in October 2007 ending their marriage of almost eighteen years. Paula White continues to work in her for-profit and non-profit entities, including Paula White Enterprises, PWM Life Center, and Paula White Ministries, which currently has a presence in New York, Tampa, and San Antonio.
As of July 2009, Paula White is now the senior pastor of Without Walls International Church as Randy White has stepped down. The couple founded the Florida mega church nearly two decades ago. Paula returns to a ministry that has lost stature and supporters after the breakup of the couple's marriage two years ago. Without Walls has endured a dwindling congregation, threat of foreclosure and a U.S. Senate inquiry into the ministry's tax-exempt status.
What has not changed is the message: God wants believers to be healthy and wealthy, and they can get there by giving generously to the church. The more congregants give, the more they will receive. This is a true testament that it’s not over until God says it over and trails are for our perfecting.
There are those that see Paula's return as a necessity for her and the church. Some Who would have dreamed that this self-proclaimed “messed-up Mississippi girl” would become one of the world’s “midwife to dreams”? Who could have guessed that she would grace the covers of major magazines, be featured by international media, and have audiences and dialogue with world leaders and policy makers—including General Colin Powell, former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Former Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, and Presidents George H.W. and George W. Bush?
Paula White was raised in the small town of Tupelo, Mississippi. Until the age of 5, her life was what most people would consider typical, including a loving family and stable home life. But at the age of five Paula’s little world was thrown into a tailspin when her father committed suicide. The sudden loss of her father affected her entire family. While various members of the household tried to cope with the grief and loss, Paula’s cries for love were muffled by sexual and physical abuse from the ages of 6 to 13.
At the age of eighteen, Paula was introduced to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Shortly after Paula surrendered her life to the Lord, she received a divine visitation in which God gave her a vision of multitudes of millions of people as far as her eyes could see. In the vision, every time she opened her mouth and began to declare the Word of the Lord, there was a visible manifestation of the power of God – souls were saved, the sick were healed, and the broken were restored. Conversely, when she was silent, people began to fall into utter darkness. In her finite mind she could not adequately quantify or enumerate the sea of humanity that she saw…but, since that time, Paula has kept the goal of 10 million souls to remind her of the awesome responsibility—yet achievable mission—of winning multiple souls for Christ.
Some feel “Without Walls” stumbled in the absence of Paula, Randy and Paula built the ministry into one of the fastest-growing mega churches in the nation, at one time reaching 22,000.
Paula has accepted this mantle with a attitude of gratitude no that it’s never to late for “a do over”.
